Office Manager/Accountant Vacancy in Ethiopia 2021

Our client is looking for an Office Manager/Accountant  to join their team and work on their property management. If you love tackling new challenges, working with professionals from different departments, and have what it takes to build and maintain fruitful professional relationships, this is the job for you.

Your main responsibilities will be to:

  • Have good knowledge of accounting and reporting (ERCA reports, VAT declarations and annual profit tax reporting) and handle petty cash
  • Perform HR functions such as handling payroll preparation (well in advance) along with employee sign-in log book and make any adjustments to pay accordingly
  • Building a filing system and overall office management 
  • Good reception and clerical skills, preparing letters, meeting minutes, reports and contracts
  • Able to perform Administrative tasks as required such as
  • Checking in o/ur office and warehousing tenants, keeping a log of when their rents or contract renewals are due
  • Monitor all requests to remove property from the compound
  • Have meticulous filing system to easily store and find everything from correspondences to receipts
  • Keep an open line of communication with the rest of our staff and walk around the compound to inspect everything from cleaning, plumbing, tenants' use of bathrooms and offices etc.

Required qualifications and competencies 

Educational Background

  • Accounting, Business Management, Administrative management or relevant fields
  • Prior 2+ years experience in property management or other relevant experience 
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills (Both Amharic and English)
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills - MS office
  • Peach Tree
