Systems Administrator

Remote Universal Groups

We are in need of a Systems Administrator team member to keep our servers and computers up to date and efficiently functioning. Someone who is reliable and trustworthy. 


  • Update servers and conduct server migrations.  
  • Experience supporting day-to-day administration functions including user account management. 
  • Apply patches and upgrades as necessary. 
  • Perform tasks for backup and recovery management including high availability.
  • Troubleshoot software Issues, Installation, and testing of computers. 
  • Perform/Implement security monitoring and audit to identify any possible security intrusions or breaches. 
  • Provides support and inputs to the LTO-IT project and for new and existing interconnectivity projects to ensure system performance and availability. 
  • Responds to problems and concerns received from the different sites, and provides solutions via remote management. 
  • Isolates problems and escalates them to the concerned groups. 
  • Configures workstations as necessary, and backs-up servers for active directory & Mail.
  • Evaluates, recommend and provides justification for the purchase of hardware and software solutions. 
  • Performs other job-related tasks that may be assigned by immediate superiors from time to time. 
  • Working with an agile team to develop, test, and maintain web and desktop-based business applications built on Microsoft technologies. 
  • Take ownership of customer issues through to resolution - including troubleshooting, external and internal communication, and providing meaningful feedback to the customer on a regular basis. 
  • Provide feature explanation and coding best practices. 
  • Create knowledge-base materials dedicated towards operational efficiency whilst also empowering and enabling the greater support community.

  • Full time: 8 am-6 pm, occasional 7 pm to 9 pm (Sydney, Australia time)  

  Requirements and Qualifications: 

  • In-depth knowledge and experience in maintaining LINUX, Windows, and manage our GoDaddy server. 
  • Experience in Linux servers and cloud servers (Microsoft Azure, Amazon AWS, Google Cloud, etc. 
  • Handy with MS Windows and other computer applications. 
  • Customer service experience or customer service-oriented skills such as empathy, active listening, and resolution-minded aptitude. 
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment. 
  • Good to excellent English verbal, and written communication skills. 

  Technology and work environment requirements  

  • Have a home internet connection that is >15Mbps  
  • Have a stable power connection.
