Tearfund is hiring a Programme Manager for leading on the Joint Initiative for Strategic Religious Action [JISRA] programme with JISRA partners in Ethiopia.

Tearfund has been working in Ethiopia since the 1970s. Along with our in-country partners, we have supported the establishment and development of more than 20,000 self-help groups (SHGs) across 50 locations in Ethiopia, as a sustainable, holistic approach to fighting poverty.
Programme Manager JISRA [Joint Initiative for Strategic Religious Action] is responsible to support the implementation and coordination of the programme with JISRA partners in Ethiopia through providing technical support to, monitoring, and developing the capacity of implementing Partners. The JISRA consortium will work with a great variety of local faith-based actors, partners, networks, youth organisations and women’s organisations to support, capacitate and amplify inclusive voices and policies.
The Programme Manager will also be responsible for ensuring that technical support is provided to partner staff, community based institutions and other stakeholders that are working for the projects. The Programme Manager follows up, monitors and supports partners to comply to donor requirements and conditions.

Do you have understanding of SGBV, FoRB, non-violence communication & intermediation and engagement of Youth and Woman in Peace building? Are you able to build partner capacity in implementing the project activities including strengthening of Self Help Groups, Grass root level Community Based Organisation or Faith Based Organisations? Are you fluent in Amharic and English and do you have the right to live and work in Ethiopia?
