The Boko Haram insurgency is almost ten years, the protracted armed conflict has displaced around 2.3 million people and caused severe socio-economic damage. The military response alone has proven insufficient, showing the necessity of a new approach encompassing comprehensive, multi-sectoral and coordinated efforts and humanitarian-development-peace (HDP) collaboration across borders to address the root causes of the conflict and prepare the ground for long-term peacebuilding and development.
