Talent Acquisition Coordinator

This is Part time - Short term position (end date September 30, 2021) located in Addis or Nairobi

Job Summary

In this role, you will support the recruitment for positions from entry-to executive- level roles for our offices mainly in London, The Hague, Bonn, Addis Ababa, DRC, or other Global locations, and well as programmatic staff and remote workers based in different countries throughout Europe and Africa.

Job Responsibilities

Recruitment and Administrative Support (80%)

  • Review incoming applications and conduct initial virtual or phone interviews with shortlisted candidates for junior and internship positions
  • Coordinate on-site and remote interviews between candidates and team members across multiple locations, in person or virtual, which may include booking interview spaces, tracking hiring team participation, communicating schedule details with candidates, and providing required documentation
  • Support with the preparation of interview questions for the (panel) interviews
  • Complete reference checks and administer work sample exercises to candidates
  • Answer candidates' questions and ensure candidates and hiring managers have all the necessary support during the recruitment process
  • Ensure all candidates receive feedback on the status of their application in a timely manner
  • Act as a backup and cover for the Talent Acquisition Specialist for Europe during part time leave (Fridays) and vacation

Other activities (20%)

  • Support the Talent Acquisition team as needed with additional projects, e.g. Initiatives to increase Diversity and Inclusion, Hiring Manager trainings, aligning recruitment practices through the different regions while being compliant with local law etc.
  • Review compliance with GDPR in our recruitment our different Europe offices
  • Other projects and support as needed 

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required and a minimum of 2 years of work experience in administrative support, preferably within recruitment 
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to think on their feet, be flexible, and multi-task in a rapidly changing environment while providing exceptional service to candidates and employees
  • An eye for detail and very strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work with individuals across all levels and functions 
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills. French language skills a plus
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Strong reporting skills, including ability to extract, evaluate, and present data
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office product suites and outlook 
  • Knowledge of Jobvite and/or other applicant tracking systems and advantage
