The Volunteer’s Role
With an average of 2 million people entering the job market annually in Ethiopia, the Job Creation Commission is working to create 20 million jobs by 2030 to combat unemployment and underemployment.
As the Data Analytics Advisor working with Job Creation Commission, you will work with the data analytics team to produce high-quality, data-driven analysis and insights on job creation and employment in Ethiopia.

As a volunteer, you will:
-Analyze and develop the statistical needs of the directorate by carrying out analysis of different data sets based on the needs and requirements of the data team and/or the organization.
-Take part in the development of Labour market Intelligence (LMI) report which includes analyzing and interpreting different Labour market related data.
-Engage in the indicators, development, and statistics requirement for the JEDI project. Explore ways to take out important labour market insights which
-Collaborate with the members of the data team in the development of monthly report collected from regions which includes polishing, organization and compiling of different reports/data.
-Closely follow up the collection of routine data and ensure the proper storage of the data.
Essential Academic Qualifications:
Masters’ degree in Economics, Data science, or Computer and Information Sciences
Essential Professional Background:
-Minimum 3-5 years work experience
-Advanced skills using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel/Spreadsheets, Access, and PowerPoint

Bonus: Additional return flight home or cash in lieu after 12 months of service for volunteers who extend for another 6 months
We ask each volunteer, regardless of placement length, to raise $2,000. All volunteers receive support from Cuso International to help achieve the goal through fundraising. If the volunteer chooses not to fundraise or is unable to achieve the fundraising goal, he/she can make a one-time donation or become a monthly donor to support our work.
