Job Summary: Insurance Officer is responsible to arrange and maintain insurance protection of organization assets and liabilities; control renewal of insurance and put in place policy administration, collecting premiums, recording claims reserves, arranging reinsurance protection, paying reinsurance premium, making reinsurance recoveries, issuing debit and credit notes. Identify and work with the organization to create practices and procedures that ensure risks are managed effectively from an insurance viewpoint.
3.1 Required Number: Two
3.2 Reports to: Risk and Insurance Manager
3.3 Place of Work: Addis Ababa
3.4 Qualification: Either of Accounting, Accounting & Finance, Cooperative Accounting, Economics, Business Management or related.
3.5 Experience: 5+ years for BA and 2 years for MA or MBA
3.6 Personal Skills: Good interpersonal and strong leadership skills, ability to work under pressure and meet deadline, demonstrate a well-organized and logical approach to work and experiences as insurance officer in bank is advantageous.
3.7 Term of Employment: Contract for one year with possibility of renewal
