Research, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), on behalf of the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UNHABITAT)is seeking to hre an Research, Monitoring and Evaluation Officer who will support successful implementation of the UN-Habitat Country Programme in Ethiopia by addressing the research and monitoring needs of the Country Programme in the areas of technical support to performance monitoring of Ethiopian cities, socioeconomic components of Urban and Regional planning and housing interventions of the Country Programme.

Contract type: SB4 (SC)-Service Contract (SC)is a non-staff contractual modality.
Duration: One year (renewable).

Qualification and experience: Advanced (Masters’ or equivalent) Degree in Urban Economics, Economics, Statistics, Urban development or management, or a related field is required.

Interested applicants must have at least 4 years of relevant and progressively responsible working experience (6 years with first Degree) at national or international level in the areas of urban and regional planning; training on the fields of urban development; in-depth knowledge of the Ethiopia’s urban development context and familiarity with the relevant policies, strategies and plans for urban development in Ethiopia; experience in interacting, collaborating, working and effectively managing partnerships with high level governmental officials/institutions and development partners.
