In this role, you will be engaged through a wide range of office operation tasks to ensure smooth functioning of the office. Primarily you will:
  • Ensure daily operations are executed, e.g. access control, purchasing and maintenance of office supplies, car and fuel management
  • Liaise with different ministries, immigration office to process official papers.
  • Facilitate and coordinate travels
  • Liaising with vendors to benchmark costs and price negotiation
  • Support renovation and relocation projects
  • Monitor and ensure maintenance work is done proactively and/or repair is carried out within the quickest timeframe

  • Participate in the different kind of HR projects/operations

Job Title: Finance and Administration Officer

Responsibilities include:

  • The job holder supports in setting up and managing several funding sources.
  • Responsible for the accounting functions of the company.
  • Ensure financial and accounting systems are implemented according to Ethiopian Standards and Regulations.

Tasks
Finance and Accounting System

  • Support to setting up and managing several funding sources for the company
  • Ensure the smooth functioning of the accounting system in line with Ethiopian Standards and Regulations.
  • Prepare and submit complete financial reports to the higher management.
  • Process local travel payments.
  • Prepare and process any tax payments.
  • Follow-up on un-settled items and initiate settlement.

  • Carry out cashier functions with daily checking of payments against the cash/bank book entries.
  • Ensure timely recurring payment (e.g. Salaries, rent, utility bills and tax bills)

  • Provide required documents for an auditor whenever Internal or External Control is conducted.

  • Facilitate staff recruitment and management procedures.
  • Comply with, and ensure that staff comply with, Fosera’s policies and procedures.
  • Keep and update annual leave records.
  • Help to put-up and organize the office premises.
  • Report irregularities observed, if any, to the superior.
  • Perform any other duties as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Accounting from a recognized college
  • At least 5 years of experience as accountant in private sector, Government or NGO or international organization
