Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the overall guidance from the Commissioners of the regional DRMC and direct supervision from concerned directorates, the Area coordinator will perform the following duties:
Assist in coordination of relief/TSF/PSNP activities and FMIP activities to ensure proper management and efficiency in timely delivery and distribution of assistance to the beneficiaries;
Ensure accountability of resources through collecting, analyzing, preparation of delivery and distribution updates from Woredas on a weekly basis including number of beneficiaries, dates of distributions and share it with ODRMC;
Work closely with Relief, PSNP & TSF focal persons and other programme staff at region, zone and woreda level;
As needed travel to the woredas and FDPs for on the job technical   assistance and monitoring food delivery and distributions;
Provide technical assistance to improve food storage, handling and management at FDP and woreda level according to the CMPM;
Assist in preparing food distribution plan of rounds for each woreda  and FDPs and Submit to ODRMC coordinators (Core FMIP staff) at region level after it is endorsed by the woreda and Kebele officials;
Report on food misuse, diversion, losses and misappropriation of Relief, TSF and PSNP food resources to the regional coordinators;
Together with the FMIP focal person, have overall responsibility in monitoring of CMPM Implementation ensuring proper use of tools for commodity management, reporting and documentation at FDP,  woreda and zonal levels.
Other duties:
- Other duties as assigned by line manager.
Job Knowledge
Working knowledge of food security and disaster response sectors and relevant actors and organizations. Knowledge of the Government of Ethiopia (National Disaster Risk Management Commission). Broad knowledge of the role of international relief organizations in disaster preparedness and response.

Qualification:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Agricultural Economics, Nutrition; Sociology and Economics
Experience:
At least 3 years working experience in monitoring and training of projects   in addition at least 1 year experience in food distribution.
Good communication skills and capacity to build quality working relationship.
Good computer skills - (Word, Excel, Power Point).
Good writing and speaking skills of Afan Oromo, English and Amharic.
Capacity to plan and organize own work with minimum supervision.
Respect deadlines, instructions and procedures.
Experience as former LONADD recruited staff will be an advantage.
