Now it invites qualified applicants for the following immediate vacancy.

1. Position: Livelihood Coordinators

Educational Qualification: BSc or MSc in Agricultural Economics, Development Studies, Rural and Urban Development and related fields.
Work Experience: Six years for BSc and above, Four years for MSc with NGO experience on, Rural and urban Development, Value chain Development and Food Security and Irrigation System.
Required Number: 2 (Two)
Terms of Employment: Nine Months Contract with possible extension
Monthly Salary: Negotiable
Duty Station: Afar region, Berahle and Aysaita woredas
Other Requirement:
  • Applicants are required to speak, understand, read and write English very well.
  • Good computer skill and effective report writing are requirements for the position.
Major responsibilities of the Livelihood Coordinators
  • Conduct baseline survey and develop project proposals on social and economic sectors.
  • Ensure that the proper work plan is in place for the execution of the different activities of livelihood project stipulated it.
  • Develop quarterly, monthly and weekly work plans and oversee its implementation accordingly.
  • Develop proper monitoring and evaluation plan
  • Ensure that the project monitoring and impact evaluation data is collected as per schedule and compile the information and submit internal reports to management committee.
  • Prepare and timely submit monthly and quarterly reports to OSD and government offices, donors and other stakeholders,
  • Keep up-to-date information, collect data and records of the activities for evidence based reporting.
  • Study & propose new ideas pertinent to the delivery of quality services to the target groups at grass root level.
2. Position: Energy Project Coordinators

Educational Qualification: BSc and MSc in Electrical Engineering, Alternative and Renewable source of energy technology and Related Field.
Work Experience: Six years for BSc and above, Four years for MSc with NGO experience.
Required Number: 2 (Two)
Terms of Employment: Nine Months Contract with possible extension
Monthly Salary: Negotiable
Duty Station: Afar region, Berahle and Aysaita woredas
Other Requirement:

Major responsibilities of Distribution officers
  • Set up a distribution mechanism.
  • Plan, implement, monitor and evaluate the distribution process on a monthly basis, in coordination with other stakeholders involved in the distribution
  • Follow up with the Logistics Assistant on the management of the warehouse
  • Fulfill all the demands pertaining to the distribution process
  • Archive all the documents relevant to the distribution process
  • Work closely with ARRA, UNHCR and other IP staff on the implementation of various activities as required
  • Responsible for preparing release orders and other logistical issues related to the distribution
Position: Accountant
Educational qualification: BA in Accounting
Work Experience: Three years for BA and above. NGO experience is more preferable
Required Number: 2 (Two)

  • Develop periodic reports for management
  • Keep information confidential and secure them with random Peachtree and excel backups
  • Keep up with financial policies, regulations and legislation

Roles and Responsibilities:
  • Develop, plan & submit budget requests based on the annual action plan of the project.
  • Identify area specific approaches to mobilize communities against GBV.
  • Facilitate trainings for the stockholders as per the project requirement.
  • Coordinate the project activities as per the project document.
  • Assess and build the capacity of CBOs working in partnership with KMG Ethiopia.
  • Prepare and submit periodic project implementation report to the head office.
  • Conduct field supervision and monitoring and submit the same to all concerned.
  • Follow up the coordination mechanisms established at different levels.
Qualification:
  • MA In Public Health or Social Sciences or Community Development
  • BSc degree in Public Health or Nurse
  • BA degree in Social Sciences or community development
Experience: 2 year for MA or 4 years for BA and BSc, NGO experience is advantageous

INTERN- ASSISTANT GRANT OFFICER

The position will be closely working with the ASPIRE Grant manager and Officer and will be responsible for overall project filing system and compliance of documentation according to grant manual.

Grant management and monitoring

Support the ASPIRE project grant management day to day operation in line with the Grants procedures manual, SNV Ethiopia financial manual, GAAP and with the guidance of the Grant manager.  This will include but not limited to:

  • Establish and maintain separate file for each sub-grantee both hard copy and soft copy.
  • Based on grant manual make sure all sub-grantee bio data’s are filed and complete from inception period to close out stage.
  • Closely work with SNV finance and ensure fund transferred documents are filed and communicated to Grant Manager regularly;
  • Make sure all correspondence documents to each sub-grantees are filed;
  • ensure all project files are filed in chronological and historical filing system;
  • Make ready all sub-grantee files for pre-audit;
  • Perform other tasks as assigned ;

Job Requirements

  • A university degree in accounting, and related fields. Fresh graduate and who has distinction GPA.
  • Experience in MS office operation.
  • Ability to work with excellent finance discipline and work under pressure.
  • Ability to organize activities.
  • Willing to work out of normal working hour when the load comes.

Salary: As per SNV Competitive Salary scale
